Position Description The Director of Global IT is responsible to plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the IT Department; administer the IT budget, staff and physical facilities of the department. The Director of Global IT directs and coordinates information systems and telecommunications services for the company. This role plans, builds and maintains IT infrastructure including Data Centers as well as responsible for the application’s team who designs, develops and supports the company’s business applications. In addition to the above, the Director of IT works in collaboration with all company departments (R&D, PS and Sales to name a few) to satisfy their IT needs and to plan the IT activities accordingly including highly technical and responsible staff assistance in all company’s locations (currently 5 offices around the world). The Director of IT reports to the CFO of the company, located in Primary Responsibilities: § Develop Information Technology strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives. § Manage complex, global IT systems, mainly based on but not limited to Microsoft technology including regional Data Centers, Active directory, virtualization (HyperV), WAN, LAN, VOIP, Security/Firewalls, anti virus and anti spam systems, servers and storage hardware, R&D and QA labs. § Responsible for IT Corporate applications’ lifecycle which includes: business process analysis, code design, technology selection, code development based on Lotus Notes and Microsoft platforms, interfacing to internal and external systems (using APIs and web services) testing phase and moving to production. § Making sure that Systems and Applications teams are working closely together in order to create reliable and business grade IT solutions. § Direct, control and motivate the staff of the Information Technology department, located globally across company offices. § Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the department and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that the financial targets are met. § Negotiate service level agreements with both internal and external customers and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met. § Accountable for the management, mentoring and career development of all IT staff. § Defines and seeks approval for the level of IT resources required to meet these goals and prioritises and schedules major projects. § Direct the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems. § Responsible for researching and evaluating new technologies. § Direct, attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend workshops to keep up to date with Information Technology issues.
