Job Title: Server Development - Section Manager

Location: Beit Shemesh, Israel.

Job Description:
As a Server Development Section Manager at Vringo you will be building, leading and managing a team of Software Engineers, while working with our Mobile development team, QA team and product management staff to release scalable and innovative products.
As a highly skilled technical engineering manager with a strong background in software engineering, you will be responsible for driving the overall planning, execution, tracking and delivery of critical server based projects.

Responsibilities:
Create the next generation of server based product features, monitoring tools, release techniques, and infrastructure to increase the speed of release cycles and allow for constant high quality product and feature delivery.
Build and manage a engineering productivity team to meet the needs of products under development.
Foster collaboration between different teams for successful releases.
Mentor junior members of the team in software development and release support.

Requirements:
Hands on experience in designing, developing and successfully deploying three or more, large scale, Java/J2EE projects from end-to-end.
The ability to demonstrate an excellent track record of delivering quality software products by following iterative and agile SDLC.
Proof of being a highly motivated self-starter who solves problems with a business centric view.
Previous leadership or management experience of at least 2 direct reports.
Extensive knowledge and application of Java best practices and J2EE design patterns.
Hands-on experience with JBoss.
Expert level experience with large MySQL databases.
Hands-on experience with n-tier J2EE technologies such as and not limited to: Java EE 5, JSP, JavaScript, role based Authentication/Authorization workflow, Web Services, JMS, Enterprise Beans, Spring/Hibernate, JDBC, JMX, Securing Java applications, OS/file level security, XML, XSD & XSLT Parsers, UML documentation
Experience designing and conducting platform wide load/stress tests.
Experience with various performance analysis and tuning techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.

The candidate would benefit greatly should they have:
Experience developing and delivering products using Scrum.
Experience building server based mobile applications.
Experience integrating mobile messaging and billing systems.
Working knowledge of Solr, ffmpeg, JMeter, Hazelcast, Selenium, GWT.
