Senior Technical Writer
Responsibilities:
* Determine the scope, sequence, and form of documentation based on the specific topic, intended audience, project objectives, and product ship date. Assess the possible consequences of complex, interrelated, multidisciplinary engineering changes upon documentation sets.
* Research, develop, write, and review product documentation for user guides, conceptual guides, API’s, online Help, service manuals, and release notes.
* Lead documentation projects onsite in a virtual environment where writers are spread across multiple sites.
* Participate in project meetings to report status and identify and resolve any issues.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of technical writing experience in a software development environment of a large corporate.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and without ambiguity.
* Ability to obtain information from written technical specifications as well as interviewing technical experts.
* Expertise in Adobe FrameMaker, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, and other desktop publishing and computer graphics tools.
* Honed analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
* English as mother tongue; competency in spoken Hebrew a must.
* Highly-motivated, and consistently able to meet tough, multiple deadlines under pressure with strong multi-tasking abilities
* Strong communication skills within the doc team and within a cross-functional team
* Strong core technical writing skills including user centric/task based writing.
* Technical background
* Experience with XML authoring
* Experience with working with a user experience designer
* Experience working with a documentation content management system.
