Director of Resource Development

Director of Resource Development (50% position, possibility of more)

The person in this position will play a vital role in our small, boutique
non-profit organization by serving as first point of contact for all
resource development. Among your primary responsibilities will be to
interact with all our donors - foundation and individual - as well as to
oversee all our resource development activities in Israel and abroad. This
job requires proven experience in fundraising and publicity/marketing in the
not-for-profit world, as well as a deep understanding of and a commitment to
feminism and social change and civil rights in Israel.

Responsibilities:

* Manage all fundraising activities: grant proposal, report-writing,
events, membership, donor relationships and all written materials
* Conduct all email and mail correspondences with foundations and
donors, big and small
* Research sources for new foundation grants
* Set up fundraising calendar, follow through, and meet deadlines
*
* Draft newsletter (3 times a year)
* Oversee the writing of grant proposals and letters of inquiry, and
at times write
* Draft budgets for grant proposals
* Conceive and carry through fundraising events
* Conceive and carry through campaign for membership
* Draft Request for Grants from Israeli Government Agencies
* Draft press releases and follow through with journalists
* Help carry through other projects conceived by staff members

Requirements:

* BA degree preferred. JD or MA in non-profit work, is a plus,
* Proven background in grant writing, fundraising events, and public
relations
* Ability to conceive and implement different types of public events:
conferences, round table discussions, dinners
* Proficient computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, database
programs
* Excellent written and oral skills in Hebrew and English
* Access to Jerusalem
